Hope For Paws was alerted about a dog that was hit by a car. Apparently, the dog managed to pull himself up and walk up close to a table where a family at that time was holding a garage sale. Kids who knew about Hope For Paws’ rescue videos told their moms to call. The volunteers were quick to respond. Those who responded were Eldad Hagar, Loreta Frankonyte And Zainab Zakria.
Upon the volunteers’ arrival, they immediately spotted the dog lying under the table on some items and some shoes being sold. As soon as they came near him, he collapsed. Eldad hastily told Loreta to pick the dog up. After confirming the story, they took the dog and headed right away to the nearest animal emergency hospital. They decided to name him Tux.
Upon their arrival, Tux passed out and lost consciousness. Eldad knew that Tux really is in bad shape. Hospital staff immediately picked him up and brought him into the emergency for treatment. He was quickly given medicine to alleviate the swelling in his brain which after a while, the medicine did greatly.
The dog’s brain swelled causing him to collapse and lose consciousness but after having the medicine he was able to open his eyes and start feeling better. Tux stayed a couple of weeks in the emergency hospital to recover and surely, he began to feel better recovering with each passing day. He regained his appetite and strength. Eventually, he was able to carry his own weight again. The Hospital staff was so happy the first time they saw him wag his tail again.
Colleagues at Foxy and the Hounds fostered Tux for a few weeks more before leaving for his new forever home. Tux loves playing with toys and running across the yard and most of all, being loved and taken cared for by his new mom.
