Humans showing kindness to animals is always a story worth listening to. With all the animal cruelty going on in the world, one can’t help but wonder if humanity still exists. This is why stories like the one you’re about to read give us hope. Perhaps there’s still a little bit of humanity in us after all.
The story of Prissy
The hound mix was left at a junkyard somewhere in Tennessee. The 4-year-old dog had just given birth that time. She was separated from her three babies and this made her feel very sad. Fortunately, Prissy was rescued. She now stays at Conway Area Humane Society where she is being prepared for adoption.
Warmth despite the cold
Volunteers are aware of how cold some shelters can be. They make up for this by sharing their warmth to the animals living in it. By sharing warmth to the animals, they feel more comfortable and at ease. In a way, this also makes the place feel a lot lighter.
Debra Cameron, the manager of the shelter went to visit Prissy one night. She brought her camera with her because she wanted to capture any sign of improvement. She was surprised when she saw the kennel supervisor lying in the floor with Prissy.
Chrissy Ireland told Cameron that Prissy she felt bad for the dog when she noticed her body shaking. It seemed that the dog was not feeling well. She empathized so she decided to lay down on the floor beside the terrified dog. Ireland kissed Prissy from time to time and made sure that the dog felt loved and cared for.
Cameron uploaded the video and it has touched the hearts of many. You can watch the tender moment between Prissy and Ireland here:
